Curls

Zander's hair is getting thicker all the time. It's probably hard to tell from pictures but if you see him in person, it's hard to mistake. In fact, he has a couple little curls at the nape of his neck. Awww!

We dislike daylight savings as much as the next person but this year has been especially interesting. First of all, Matt and I were completely clueless that it was happening this weekend. I even woke up on Sunday thinking about it but sure that it was at the end of the month sometime. It was pretty cruel to be laying around relaxing, thinking we had another hour before we had to leave for lunch at Great-Grandma Joan's and then realize that no, we had to leave NOW.

Daylight savings has also had interesting impacts on Zander's sleep schedule - which is actually very consistant. It's the rest of the country that's off by an hour. A couple times this week, he's been woken up early - that is, on time. Today I let him sleep and he didn't get up until 8.45 am (he's usually up between 7 and 7.30 am). Screwy.

Last, a cute story. I was getting Zander out of his highchair today after eating lunch. I found one of his star-shaped snacks on his leg and held it up for him to take and put in his own mouth (he prefers this over other people pushing food in his mouth - he's got a pincer grasp, use it or lose it, eh?). He took it from me and pushed it into my mouth. Ha! Luckily those things are not disgusting - sweetened puffed rice so they taste like Golden Crisp cereal.

And in general? He talks non stop. He might not do this if we're over at someone else's house. He might not even do it if you're at our place. Until he warms up and gets over staring at you. But if you call you'll hear it. Non. Stop. Talking. I can't imagine where he gets that from.

It's so soft and a little bit shiny. Thank you, Julie!)
